Ugandan refers to anything related to the country of Uganda, including its people, culture, geography, and history.

The people of Uganda are known as Ugandans. They are diverse in ethnicity, with over 40 different ethnic groups. The largest ethnic group is the Baganda, who make up about 16.9% of the population. Other significant ethnic groups include the Banyankole, Basoga, and Iteso.

Culture[edit | edit source]

Ugandan culture is a blend of various influences, including Bantu, Nilotic, and Islamic. The country's rich cultural heritage is expressed through music, dance, art, and cuisine. Traditional music and dance, such as the Kadodi and Acholi dances, play a significant role in cultural celebrations and rituals.

Geography[edit | edit source]

Uganda is located in East Africa and is known for its diverse landscape. It is home to the Rwenzori Mountains, one of the highest mountain ranges in Africa, and the Victoria Lake, the continent's largest lake. The country's geography also includes savannahs, wetlands, and tropical rainforests.

History[edit | edit source]

The history of Uganda is marked by a series of kingdoms and empires, including the Buganda Kingdom, the Ankole Kingdom, and the British Empire. The country gained independence from British colonial rule on October 9, 1962.
