Underwater Society of America (USOA) is a non-profit organization that promotes underwater sports and educational programs in the United States. It was established in 1959 and is recognized by the World Underwater Federation (CMAS) as the national governing body for underwater activities in the USA.

The USOA is governed by a Board of Directors, which includes representatives from each of the organization's member clubs. The Board is responsible for setting the organization's policies and overseeing its activities.

Membership in the USOA is open to any individual or organization interested in underwater activities. Members are eligible to participate in the organization's activities and programs, and to represent the USA in international underwater sports competitions.
