United Supermarkets is a chain of supermarkets located primarily in the state of Texas, United States. The company operates under the umbrella of the United Family, which is a subsidiary of the Albertsons Companies. United Supermarkets was founded in 1916 by H.D. Snell in Sayre, Oklahoma. The company moved its headquarters to Lubbock, Texas in 1949, where it remains today.
