The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is an NHS Foundation Trust that provides adult district general hospital services for Birmingham and specialist treatments for the West Midlands region. The trust operates several hospitals, including Good Hope Hospital, Heartlands Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, and Solihull Hospital.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB), located in Edgbaston, is one of the trust's flagship hospitals. It opened in 2010 and replaced the previous Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Selly Oak Hospital. The trust is currently led by Interim Chair Harry Reilly and chief executive Professor David Rosser.

The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust received authorization to become an NHS Foundation Trust in 2004. It merged with the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust in 2018, creating a combined organization with a turnover of £1.6bn and 2,700 beds across four main hospitals.

It is worth noting that the executive directors of the trust have all been white for the past 20 years, despite the diverse population of Birmingham. In 2017, 36% of the trust's overall workforce were from a black, Asian, or ethnic minority background, and in 2020, about half of the medical staff were from the same background.
