The University of Medical Sciences, Ondo (UNIMED) is a public university located in Ondo City, Ondo State, Nigeria. Established in 2015, UNIMED is dedicated to providing excellence in medical education and research.

UNIMED was established by the Ondo State Government with the aim of addressing the shortage of medical professionals in Nigeria and improving healthcare delivery in the country. The university was officially inaugurated in 2015 by the former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.

Faculty of Medicine[edit | edit source]

The Faculty of Medicine offers a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program, which is a six-year course. The program is designed to produce competent medical doctors who are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide quality healthcare services.
