The University of Namibia (UNAM) is a public university located in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. Established in 1992, it is the largest and leading national institution of higher education in the country.

The University of Namibia was established by an Act of Parliament in 1992. It was created to provide higher education opportunities to the people of Namibia and to contribute to the development of the nation. Since its inception, UNAM has grown significantly in terms of student enrollment, academic programs, and research output.
Campuses[edit | edit source]
UNAM has several campuses spread across Namibia, each offering a variety of programs and facilities. The main campus is located in Windhoek, with additional campuses in Oshakati, Rundu, Katima Mulilo, and other regions.
