University of North Dakota
University of North Dakota (UND) is a public university located in Grand Forks, North Dakota, United States. Established in 1883, six years before the state itself was admitted to the Union, UND is the oldest and largest university in North Dakota. With a strong emphasis on research, liberal arts, and health sciences, the university offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs through its various colleges and schools.

The University of North Dakota was founded by the Dakota Territorial Assembly in 1883, at a time when the future state of North Dakota was still a part of the Dakota Territory. The university opened its doors on September 8, 1884, with a class of eight students and two faculty members. Over the years, UND has grown significantly, both in terms of its physical campus and its academic offerings.

The UND campus spans over 550 acres in the heart of Grand Forks.
