The University of Zimbabwe (UZ) is a public university located in Harare, Zimbabwe. Established in 1952, it is the oldest and largest university in the country. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across various disciplines.

The University of Zimbabwe was founded in 1952 as the University College of Rhodesia and Nyasaland, affiliated with the University of London. It became the University of Rhodesia in 1970 and was renamed the University of Zimbabwe in 1980 following the country's independence.
