Upserve
Upserve is a Restaurant Management software company based in Providence, Rhode Island, United States. The company provides an all-in-one management platform for restaurants, including Point of Sale (POS) systems, inventory management, analytics, and more.

Upserve was founded in 2009 by Angus Davis under the name Swipely. The company initially started as a consumer-facing app, but later pivoted to a business-to-business model, focusing on providing services to restaurants. In 2016, the company rebranded as Upserve.

Upserve provides a suite of services designed to streamline restaurant operations and improve customer service. These include:
- Upserve POS: A cloud-based point of sale system that integrates with other Upserve services. It includes features such as menu management, tableside ordering, and payment processing.
- Upserve Inventory: An inventory management system that tracks food and beverage usage, helps control costs, and simplifies ordering.
- Upserve Workforce: A workforce management tool that handles scheduling, labor forecasting, and time tracking.
- Upserve Online Ordering: A tool that allows restaurants to accept online orders directly from their website or mobile app.
- Upserve Tableside: A mobile POS that allows servers to take orders and process payments at the table.
- Upserve Analytics: A data analytics tool that provides insights into sales trends, menu performance, and customer behavior.

In December 2020, Upserve was acquired by Lightspeed POS, a Canadian-based POS and e-commerce software provider. The acquisition was part of Lightspeed's strategy to expand its presence in the U.S. market.
