Vacuum permeability is a fundamental physical constant denoting the measure of the ability of a vacuum to support the formation of a magnetic field within itself. Also known as the magnetic constant, vacuum permeability has a symbol μ₀. It plays a crucial role in the Maxwell's equations of electromagnetism and has a defined value in the International System of Units (SI) as exactly 4π × 10-7 H/m (henries per meter).
