Van Buren County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2010 census, the population was 5,548, making it the third-least populous county in Tennessee. Its county seat is Spencer.

Van Buren County is situated in the central part of Tennessee, with a total area of 275 square miles, of which 273 square miles is land and 1.6 square miles is water.
