The Victoria Integrated Care Centre is a health facility located in Helensburgh, Scotland. It is managed by NHS Highland.

History[edit | edit source]

The facility originated as the Helensburgh Hospital, which opened in 1876 with funding from Anne Alexander. Initially, it served both infectious and non-infectious diseases. In 1895, a new hospital designed by William Leiper was built nearby to exclusively treat non-infectious cases. It was named the Victoria Infirmary in honor of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897. The hospital joined the National Health Service in 1948 and underwent an extension in 1951 to provide additional facilities. In 1998, the Jeanie Deans Unit, located south of the infirmary building, received a visit from the Princess Royal. The unit was later redeveloped into a modern integrated care centre in 2009.

Services[edit | edit source]

The Victoria Integrated Care Centre consists of the Victoria Infirmary Building, the Jeanie Deans Centre, the Community Base, and the Out-Patient Department.
