Viperești
Viperești is a commune located in the Buzău County, Romania. It is composed of five villages: Cătina, Fântânele, Mlăjet, Sudiți and Viperești. The commune is named after the Viperești village, which is the administrative center.

Viperești is situated in the southeastern part of Romania, in the Buzău County. The commune is located at the confluence of the Buzău River and the Cătina River. The geographical location of Viperești makes it a significant area for agricultural activities.

The first documented mention of Viperești dates back to the 15th century. Over the centuries, the commune has witnessed several historical events and has been under the rule of various regional powers.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
As of the 2011 census, Viperești had a population of 2,487 inhabitants. The majority of the population is of Romanian ethnicity, with a small minority of Roma people.
