Walnut Whip is a popular British sweet treat that has been enjoyed by many since its inception in 1910. The Walnut Whip was first introduced by Duncan's of Edinburgh in 1910. In 1925, the company was acquired by Rowntree's, which was subsequently taken over by Nestlé in 1988. The Walnut Whip has undergone several changes over the years, but its distinctive shape and combination of chocolate, cream, and walnut have remained consistent.

The production of a Walnut Whip involves several steps. First, the chocolate shell is created by pouring melted chocolate into a cone-shaped mould. Once the chocolate has hardened, the mould is filled with a whipped vanilla fondant cream. The cream is then topped with a half walnut before the bottom of the whip is sealed with more chocolate.

Over the years, Nestlé has introduced several variations of the Walnut Whip. These include the Maple Walnut Whip, the Coffee Walnut Whip, and the Mint Walnut Whip. However, the original Walnut Whip remains the most popular.

The Walnut Whip is one of the oldest sweets in the UK and has a dedicated fan base. It is estimated that one Walnut Whip is consumed every two seconds in the UK.
