History[edit | edit source]

The Warsteiner brewery was established by Antonius Cramer in 1753. The brewery remained a small, local operation until the late 19th century when it began to expand. In 1927, the brewery was modernized and began to produce beer on a larger scale. The introduction of the Warsteiner Pilsner in 1928 marked a significant turning point for the company, leading to increased popularity and growth.

Products[edit | edit source]

Warsteiner is best known for its Warsteiner Premium Verum, a pilsner-style beer. The brewery also produces other varieties of beer, including:

  • Warsteiner Premium Dunkel
  • Warsteiner Premium Fresh (non-alcoholic)
  • Warsteiner Radler (a mix of beer and lemonade)

Production[edit | edit source]

The Warsteiner brewery uses water from the Kaiserquelle, a natural spring located near the brewery. The quality of the water is considered to be a key factor in the distinctive taste of Warsteiner beers. The brewery employs traditional brewing methods combined with modern technology to ensure the consistency and quality of its products.

Distribution[edit | edit source]

Warsteiner beers are distributed in over 60 countries worldwide. The brewery has a strong presence in Europe, particularly in Germany, but also exports to North America, Asia, and other regions.
