West Nyack,NY
West Nyack is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Clarkstown, located in Rockland County, New York, United States.

West Nyack was originally part of the Tappan Patent granted by King Charles II in 1686. The area was settled by Dutch farmers in the 17th century. The name "Nyack" is derived from the Native American tribe that once inhabited the region.
Geography[edit | edit source]
West Nyack is bordered by the hamlets of Nanuet to the west, Bardonia to the north, and Central Nyack to the east.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
As of the 2020 United States Census, the population of West Nyack was 3,439. The hamlet is part of the Clarkstown Central School District, which serves the educational needs of the community.

West Nyack is home to the Palisades Center, one of the largest shopping malls in the United States. The mall attracts visitors from across the region and contributes significantly to the local economy.
