Wheeler County is a county located in the U.S. state of Nebraska. As of the 2010 census, the population was 818. Its county seat is Bartlett. The county was formed in 1877 and named after Major Daniel H. Wheeler, a Secretary of the Nebraska Territory.

Wheeler County is located in the central part of Nebraska, with a total area of 576 square miles, of which 575 square miles is land and 0.9 square miles is water. The county's highest point is the Sandhills, a region of mixed-grass prairie on grass-stabilized sand dunes.
