World Association for Sexual Health
World Association for Sexual Health (WASH) is an international professional organization dedicated to the promotion of sexual health across the globe. It was established in 1978 and has since been a leading voice in the field of sexual health, advocating for the rights of all individuals to enjoy sexual health and well-being.

The World Association for Sexual Health was founded in 1978, with the aim of promoting sexual health and rights worldwide. The organization was initially known as the World Association for Sexology (WAS), but changed its name to the World Association for Sexual Health in 2005 to better reflect its mission and scope.
Mission and Vision[edit | edit source]
The mission of WASH is to promote sexual health throughout the world by developing, promoting, and supporting sexology and sexual rights for all. The organization envisions a world where all individuals enjoy sexual health and rights, and where sexuality is recognized both as a natural and precious aspect of human life, and as a fundamental right.
Activities[edit | edit source]
WASH carries out a range of activities to promote sexual health and rights. These include organizing international and regional conferences, publishing the International Journal of Sexual Health, and developing and promoting declarations on sexual health and rights. The organization also works closely with other international organizations, such as the World Health Organization (WHO), to advocate for sexual health and rights at the global level.

Membership in WASH is open to individuals and organizations who share the organization's mission and vision. Members include professionals in the field of sexology, as well as other individuals and organizations interested in promoting sexual health and rights.
