York University is a public research university located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the third-largest university in Canada. York University offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs through its various faculties, including the Faculty of Health, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, Schulich School of Business, Osgoode Hall Law School, and the School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design.

York University was established in 1959. Its first classes were held in September 1960 in Falconer Hall on the University of Toronto campus with a mere 76 students. The university has since expanded significantly, both in terms of its physical campus and its academic offerings.
