Zendium

From WikiMD's Food, Medicine & Wellness Encyclopedia

Zendium is a brand of toothpaste that was first introduced in the 1970s by Unilever. The toothpaste is known for its use of enzymes and proteins, which are naturally present in the mouth, to boost the mouth's natural defenses.

History[edit | edit source]

Zendium was first launched in Scandinavia in 1976. The toothpaste was developed by Dr. Henk Hoogendoorn, a Dutch periodontist, who was inspired by the idea that enzymes and proteins could be used to boost the mouth's natural defenses.

Product[edit | edit source]

Zendium toothpaste contains enzymes and proteins such as Amylase, Lysozyme, Lactoferrin, and Glucose Oxidase. These ingredients are naturally present in the mouth and play a crucial role in maintaining oral health. The toothpaste is designed to boost the levels of these beneficial enzymes and proteins in the mouth, thereby enhancing the mouth's natural defenses against common oral health problems such as cavities, gum disease, and bad breath.

Clinical Studies[edit | edit source]

Several clinical studies have been conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of Zendium toothpaste. These studies have shown that Zendium can effectively boost the mouth's natural defenses and help to maintain oral health. However, more research is needed to fully understand the long-term effects of using Zendium toothpaste.
