Zoom is a video conferencing software developed by Zoom Video Communications. It provides a remote conferencing service that combines video conferencing, online meetings, chat, and mobile collaboration.

Zoom was founded in 2011 by Eric Yuan, a lead engineer from WebEx and a vice president at Cisco Systems. The service started in January 2013 and by May 2013, it claimed one million participants. During its first year of release, Zoom established partnerships with Baidu, Box, and Zendesk and integrated with Dropbox and Google Drive.
