Zucchini noodles, also known as "zoodles," are a popular low-carb alternative to pasta. They are made by spiralizing zucchini, which creates long, thin noodles that resemble spaghetti. Zucchini noodles are a great option for those following a low-carb or gluten-free diet, as they are much lower in carbohydrates than traditional pasta.

How to make them?[edit | edit source]

  • To make zucchini noodles, you can use a spiralizer tool, which can be purchased online or at most kitchen supply stores.
  • You can also make them manually by using a vegetable peeler or a mandoline slicer.
  • Once you have your zucchini noodles, you can cook them in a pan with a little bit of olive oil, or you can also serve them raw.
  • Zucchini noodles can be eaten as is or used in a variety of recipes, such as spaghetti, stir-fries, salads, or soups.
  • They can also be topped with a variety of sauces, such as marinara, pesto, or alfredo.

It's important to note that zucchini are mostly made of water and when cooked, they release water thus draining the sauce you might use, so in order to avoid that you could salt them before cooking to release the water and pat them dry, or cook them briefly over high heat.

Zucchini noodles can also be frozen and stored for later use, but they should be blanched before freezing and also thawed before cooking.
