4 Pines Brewing Company was established by father and son duo, Jaron and Steve Mitchell. The name "4 Pines" was inspired by a family trip to a small bar in Whistler, British Columbia, where they enjoyed a memorable beer experience. Upon returning to Australia, they decided to create their own brewery to replicate that experience.
