67th Medical Group (United States)

The 67th Medical Group is a United States Air Force medical unit stationed at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. The group is part of the 18th Wing, the host wing for Kadena Air Base, and is tasked with providing comprehensive health care, including medical, dental, and public health services, to support U.S. and allied forces in the region.

The 67th Medical Group was activated on 1 July 1949 at Neubiberg Air Base, Germany, as part of the United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE). The group was inactivated on 8 February 1958, but was reactivated on 1 October 1994 at Kadena Air Base.

Mission[edit | edit source]

The mission of the 67th Medical Group is to provide comprehensive health care services to U.S. and allied forces in the region. This includes preventive medicine, emergency medicine, primary care, surgical services, and mental health services. The group also supports the 18th Wing's mission of maintaining a forward presence and promoting peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.

Organization[edit | edit source]

The 67th Medical Group is organized into four squadrons: the 67th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, the 67th Medical Operations Squadron, the 67th Medical Support Squadron, and the 67th Dental Squadron. Each squadron is responsible for a specific aspect of the group's overall mission.
