ADS is a television station based in Adelaide, South Australia. It is owned and operated by Seven West Media and is affiliated with the Seven Network. The station broadcasts on VHF channel 7.

ADS commenced broadcasting on 24 October 1959. It was originally owned by The Advertiser newspaper, which was part of the News Limited group. The station was initially affiliated with the Nine Network but switched to the Ten Network in the 1970s. In 1987, ADS was sold to Northern Star Holdings, which led to a network swap with SAS, making ADS an affiliate of the Seven Network.
Programming[edit | edit source]
ADS broadcasts a range of programming, including news, sports, entertainment, and children's shows. The station produces local news bulletins, which are broadcast daily. ADS also airs popular national programs from the Seven Network, such as Home and Away, My Kitchen Rules, and The Chase Australia.

The station's studios are located in Hindmarsh, a suburb of Adelaide. The facilities include state-of-the-art production and broadcasting equipment, enabling the station to produce high-quality content for its viewers.
Digital Transition[edit | edit source]
ADS transitioned from analog to digital broadcasting in the early 2000s, in line with the nationwide move to digital television in Australia. The station now broadcasts exclusively in digital format, providing viewers with improved picture and sound quality.
