Aaron Bruno (born November 11, 1978) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and founder of the electronic rock band AWOLNATION. He has been active in the music industry since the late 1990s and has been involved in various musical projects throughout his career.

Aaron Richard Bruno was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He developed an interest in music at a young age and began playing guitar and writing songs during his teenage years. Bruno attended Westlake High School in Thousand Oaks, where he met future bandmates and started his first bands.

Early Bands[edit | edit source]

Bruno's early musical endeavors included being a member of the bands Home Town Hero and Under the Influence of Giants. Home Town Hero was a rock band that gained some regional success in the early 2000s, releasing two albums before disbanding. Under the Influence of Giants was a pop-rock band that released a self-titled album in 2006 and achieved moderate success with their single "Mama's Room."

Formation of AWOLNATION[edit | edit source]

In 2009, Aaron Bruno formed AWOLNATION, an electronic rock project that allowed him to explore a wide range of musical styles. The band's debut album, Megalithic Symphony, was released in 2011 and included the hit single "Sail". The song achieved significant commercial success, reaching multi-platinum status and becoming one of the most downloaded songs in history.

Subsequent Albums[edit | edit source]

Following the success of Megalithic Symphony, AWOLNATION released their second album, Run, in 2015. The album continued to showcase Bruno's eclectic musical style and included singles such as "Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf)" and "I Am."

In 2018, AWOLNATION released their third album, Here Come the Runts, which featured a more rock-oriented sound. The album included tracks like "Passion" and "Handyman."

The band's fourth album, Angel Miners & the Lightning Riders, was released in 2020. This album was influenced by personal experiences and included songs such as "The Best" and "California Halo Blue."
