AirPods Max

From WikiMD's Food, Medicine & Wellness Encyclopedia

AirPods Max are over-ear headphones created and sold by Apple Inc.. They were announced on December 8, 2020, and released on December 15, 2020. The AirPods Max are part of Apple's AirPods line, which also includes the original AirPods and the AirPods Pro.

Design[edit | edit source]

The AirPods Max have a unique design that sets them apart from other over-ear headphones. The ear cups are made from aluminum, and the headband is made from stainless steel. The headband is covered with a breathable knit mesh material, which is designed to distribute weight and reduce on-head pressure. The ear cushions are made from memory foam and are designed to create an effective seal for immersive sound.

Features[edit | edit source]

The AirPods Max feature active noise cancellation, transparency mode, and spatial audio. They also have a digital crown, similar to the one found on the Apple Watch, which can be used to control volume, skip tracks, answer phone calls, and activate Siri.

The AirPods Max use Apple's H1 chip, which supports high-quality audio and enables features like automatic switching between Apple devices and audio sharing.

Battery Life[edit | edit source]

The AirPods Max have a battery life of up to 20 hours with active noise cancellation and spatial audio enabled. They come with a Smart Case, which puts the headphones in an ultra-low power state to preserve battery life when not in use.

Reception[edit | edit source]

The AirPods Max have received generally positive reviews from critics. They have been praised for their sound quality, noise cancellation, and build quality, but have also been criticized for their high price and lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack.
