Al tazaj

From WikiMD's Wellness Encyclopedia

Al Tazaj is a popular fast food chain that originated in Saudi Arabia. The restaurant is known for its unique offering of fresh barbecued chicken, a deviation from the typical fast food fare.

History[edit | edit source]

Al Tazaj was first established in Mecca, Saudi Arabia in 1989 by Abdul Rahman Fakieh, the owner of Fakieh Poultry Farms. The idea for the restaurant was born out of the surplus of chicken produced by the farm. The first Al Tazaj restaurant was located near the Kaaba, the most sacred site in Islam, and quickly gained popularity among the pilgrims visiting the holy city.

Menu[edit | edit source]

The menu at Al Tazaj is centered around its signature dish, the fresh barbecued chicken. This dish is made from a special breed of chicken known as the Arbor Acres, which is known for its tender and flavorful meat. The chicken is marinated in a blend of spices and herbs before being barbecued over a charcoal grill. In addition to chicken, Al Tazaj also offers a variety of other dishes including salads, grilled vegetables, and traditional Middle Eastern dishes such as hummus and tabbouleh.

Expansion[edit | edit source]

Since its establishment, Al Tazaj has expanded its operations beyond Saudi Arabia. As of 2021, the chain has over 100 locations in countries including Egypt, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. The company has plans for further international expansion in the future.
