Albert B. Chandler Hospital
Albert B. Chandler Hospital is a university hospital located in Lexington, Kentucky. It is part of the University of Kentucky Healthcare system and is named after former Kentucky Governor and United States Senator, Albert Benjamin Chandler Sr. (1898–1991).

The Albert B. Chandler Hospital, often referred to as UK Chandler Hospital, was established in 1962. It was named in honor of Albert Benjamin Chandler Sr., who was instrumental in its creation. The hospital has undergone several expansions and renovations over the years, with the most recent major expansion completed in 2011.
Facilities[edit | edit source]
The hospital is a tertiary care center and is also the only Level I trauma center in the region. It houses more than 569 beds and offers a wide range of medical services. The hospital is known for its cancer center, cardiovascular services, neuroscience services, and transplant center.

The Albert B. Chandler Hospital is affiliated with the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, providing clinical training for medical students and residents. It also collaborates with the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy and the University of Kentucky College of Nursing for interdisciplinary care.
