Aleksandr Shustov (born 29 June 1984) is a retired Russian high jumper. He is best known for winning the gold medal at the 2010 European Athletics Championships.

Early Life and Career[edit | edit source]

Aleksandr Shustov was born in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. He began his athletic career in high jump at a young age and quickly showed promise in the sport. Shustov moved to Russia to further his training and compete at a higher level.

Athletic Achievements[edit | edit source]

Shustov's most notable achievement came in 2010 when he won the gold medal at the 2010 European Athletics Championships held in Barcelona, Spain. He cleared a height of 2.33 meters, which was his personal best at the time.

In addition to his European Championship victory, Shustov has competed in various international competitions, including the World Championships in Athletics and the IAAF Diamond League. He has also won multiple national titles in Russia.
