Alexios Trantas was born in Athens, Greece, in 1975. He showed an early interest in the sciences, particularly in biology and chemistry. Trantas pursued his undergraduate studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then attended the same university's medical school, graduating with honors in 1999.
Following his medical degree, Trantas completed his residency in internal medicine at the Attikon University Hospital. He then specialized in cardiology, completing a fellowship at the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center.
Academic Career[edit | edit source]
Trantas began his academic career as a lecturer at the University of Athens in 2005. His teaching focuses on cardiovascular physiology, pathophysiology, and clinical cardiology. He is known for his engaging lectures and his ability to simplify complex concepts for medical students.
