Algood is a city located in the state of Tennessee, United States. It is part of Putnam County and is known for its small-town charm and close-knit community. The city is located in the central part of the state, nestled in the Cumberland Plateau region.

Algood is located at 36°12′30″N 85°26′57″W. The city has a total area of 11.7 square miles, of which 11.6 square miles is land and 0.1 square miles is water.

As of the 2010 census, there were 3,495 people, 1,399 households, and 1,001 families residing in the city. The population density was 301.3 people per square mile.
