Allennes-les-Marais is a commune in the Nord department in the Hauts-de-France region of northern France. It is located in the Metropolitan Area of Lille, approximately 15 kilometers southeast of Lille city center.

Allennes-les-Marais is situated in the Marais de Péronne, a marshy area that is part of the larger Scarpe-Escaut Natural Park. The commune is crossed by the Elnon River, a tributary of the Scheldt River.

The history of Allennes-les-Marais dates back to the Middle Ages, with the first written record of the village appearing in 1184. The area was historically part of the County of Flanders until it was annexed by France in the 17th century.
