- Altavista is a town in Campbell County, Virginia, United States. The town was incorporated in 1912 and has a population of approximately 3,450. Altavista is part of the Lynchburg Metropolitan Statistical Area.

- Altavista is located in the south-central part of Virginia, approximately 22 miles south of Lynchburg. The town is situated along the banks of the Staunton River.
History[edit | edit source]
- Altavista was established in 1905 as a planned community by Lane Brothers Company, a furniture manufacturer. The town was incorporated in 1912 and has since grown into a small, vibrant community.
