- Alturas is a small unincorporated community located in Polk County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Lakeland–Winter Haven Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community is primarily residential, with a small number of businesses.

- Alturas is located in the central part of Florida, in the eastern part of Polk County. It is approximately 50 miles east of Tampa and 80 miles west of Orlando. The community is surrounded by citrus groves and rural land.
