Anaesthesia is a monthly peer-reviewed medical journal that covers the field of anaesthesiology. The journal was established in 1945 by the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (AAGBI). The AAGBI was founded in 1932 and is a professional association that represents over 10,000 anaesthetists in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The journal was initially published quarterly, but it has been published monthly since 1952.
