Ann McPherson
Ann McPherson (22 June 1945 – 28 May 2011) was a British general practitioner, author, health campaigner, and co-founder of HealthTalkOnline. She was known for her work in patient advocacy and for her contributions to medical literature.

Ann McPherson was born in London, England. She attended Somerville College, Oxford, where she studied medicine. After completing her medical degree, she trained as a general practitioner.

McPherson worked as a general practitioner in Oxford for many years. She was deeply committed to improving patient care and was known for her empathetic approach to medicine.
HealthTalkOnline[edit | edit source]
In 2001, McPherson co-founded HealthTalkOnline (formerly known as DIPEx) with Andrew Herxheimer. The website provides information and support to patients by sharing personal stories of people with various health conditions. The initiative aimed to empower patients by giving them access to real-life experiences and expert advice.
