Anthony Saidy (born May 16, 1937) is an American chess International Master, author, and physician. He is known for his contributions to the chess community both as a player and a writer.

Anthony Saidy was born in New York City. He developed an interest in chess at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks of American chess players. Saidy attended Harvard University, where he earned his undergraduate degree. He later pursued a medical degree, becoming a licensed physician.

Saidy achieved the title of International Master (IM) in 1969. He has competed in numerous national and international tournaments, often finishing with commendable results. Some of his notable performances include participating in the U.S. Chess Championship and representing the United States in the Chess Olympiad.
