Antlers (2021 film)
Antlers is a 2021 American supernatural horror film directed by Scott Cooper. The screenplay, written by C. Henry Chaisson, Nick Antosca, and Cooper, is based on Antosca's short story "The Quiet Boy," originally published in Guernica. The film stars Keri Russell, Jesse Plemons, Jeremy T. Thomas, Graham Greene, Scott Haze, Rory Cochrane, and Amy Madigan.

The story is set in a small town in Oregon, where middle school teacher Julia Meadows (Keri Russell) and her brother, Sheriff Paul Meadows (Jesse Plemons), become concerned about one of her students, Lucas Weaver (Jeremy T. Thomas). Lucas is a quiet and withdrawn boy who harbors a dark secret about his family's connection to a supernatural creature.

The film was produced by Guillermo del Toro, David S. Goyer, and J. Miles Dale. Principal photography began on October 1, 2018, and concluded on November 30, 2018. The film was shot in various locations in British Columbia, Canada.

Antlers was originally scheduled for release on April 17, 2020, but was delayed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was eventually released in the United States on October 29, 2021, by Searchlight Pictures.

The film received mixed reviews from critics. While the performances, particularly those of Russell and Plemons, were praised, some critics felt that the film's pacing and narrative were lacking. The film holds a rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a score on Metacritic.
