Ariel Atias (born November 13, 1970) is an Israeli politician who served as a member of the Knesset for the Shas party. He held various ministerial positions, including Minister of Communications and Minister of Housing and Construction.

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

Ariel Atias was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. He grew up in a religious family and attended religious schools. He later pursued higher education in business administration.

Political Career[edit | edit source]

Atias began his political career with the Shas party, a religious political party in Israel. He was first elected to the Knesset in 2006.

Minister of Communications[edit | edit source]

In 2006, Atias was appointed as the Minister of Communications. During his tenure, he focused on improving Israel's telecommunications infrastructure and reducing the cost of communication services.

Minister of Housing and Construction[edit | edit source]

In 2009, Atias was appointed as the Minister of Housing and Construction. He worked on various housing projects aimed at increasing the availability of affordable housing in Israel. He also focused on urban renewal projects and improving housing conditions in underprivileged areas.

Personal Life[edit | edit source]

Ariel Atias is married and has children. He resides in Jerusalem.
