- Avalon is a borough located in Allegheny County, in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It is part of the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Statistical Area. The borough is situated on a hillside along the Ohio River, which provides a panoramic view of the surrounding area.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Avalon is located at 40°30′6″N 80°4′34″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.6 square miles, all of it land.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
- As of the census of 2010, there were 4,705 people, 2,132 households, and 1,130 families residing in the borough. The population density was 7,842.5 people per square mile.
