- Avondale Estates is a city in DeKalb County, Georgia, United States. The city was founded in 1924 and is known for its close-knit community, beautiful setting, and diverse architectural styles. It is named after Stratford-upon-Avon, England, the birthplace of William Shakespeare.

- Avondale Estates is located at 33°46′15″N 84°15′54″W. The city is situated in the northeastern part of DeKalb County and is bordered by the city of Decatur to the north and west.

- As of the 2010 census, there were 2,960 people, 1,430 households, and 724 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,636.5 people per square mile.
