Bahrain Red Crescent Society

Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) is a humanitarian organization based in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It was established in 1971 and is a member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). The society is dedicated to alleviating human suffering, protecting life and health, and upholding human dignity, especially during armed conflicts and other emergencies.

The Bahrain Red Crescent Society was established on 28 March 1971. It was recognized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in 1972 and became a member of the IFRC in the same year. The society is part of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, which consists of the ICRC, the IFRC, and 192 national societies.

The society promotes the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, which include humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality. It also advocates for the respect of international humanitarian law and human rights.
