Bai Brands
Bai Brands is an American beverage company that was founded in 2009 by Ben Weiss. The company produces a line of antioxidant-infused beverages that are low in calories and sugar. The name "Bai" is derived from the word "botanical" to signify the natural ingredients used in the beverages.
History[edit | edit source]
Ben Weiss founded Bai Brands in 2009. The company was initially started in Weiss's basement in Princeton, New Jersey. The idea for the company came from Weiss's fascination with the coffee fruit, a byproduct of coffee production that is often discarded. Weiss discovered that the coffee fruit was rich in antioxidants and decided to use it as the main ingredient in his beverages.
In 2015, Bai Brands was named one of the fastest-growing private companies in America by Inc. Magazine. The company was acquired by Dr Pepper Snapple Group in 2017 for $1.7 billion.
Products[edit | edit source]
Bai Brands offers a variety of beverages, all of which are infused with antioxidants from the coffee fruit. The product line includes Bai Antioxidant Infusions, Bai Bubbles (a sparkling version of the original Bai beverage), Bai Black (a line of carbonated beverages), and Bai Supertea (a line of antioxidant-infused teas).
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
The main ingredient in Bai beverages is the coffee fruit, which is rich in antioxidants. Other ingredients include filtered water, erythritol (a natural sweetener), and natural flavors. Bai beverages are free of artificial sweeteners and are low in calories and sugar.
Reception[edit | edit source]
Bai Brands has received positive reviews for its innovative use of the coffee fruit and its commitment to creating healthier beverages. The company has also been praised for its sustainable practices, as the use of the coffee fruit helps to reduce waste in the coffee industry.
