Balaan bukid
Balaan Bukid is a mountain located in the province of Guimaras, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. The name "Balaan Bukid" translates to "Holy Mountain" in Hiligaynon, the local language. It is a popular pilgrimage site, especially during the Holy Week.

Balaan Bukid is situated in the town of Jordan, which is the capital of Guimaras. The mountain offers a panoramic view of the Iloilo Strait and the city of Iloilo City on the neighboring island of Panay. The mountain is characterized by its lush vegetation and diverse wildlife.

Balaan Bukid is renowned for its religious significance. At the summit, there is a large white cross and a small chapel dedicated to the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. The Via Crucis or Stations of the Cross is a prominent feature of the pilgrimage, with 14 stations leading up to the summit.
