- Barrington Hills is a village located in the United States in the state of Illinois. It is part of both the Chicago metropolitan area and the greater Barrington area. The village is known for its rural suburban setting, equestrian community, and scenic landscape.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Barrington Hills is located approximately 40 miles northwest of Chicago. The village covers an area of 28.68 square miles, of which 27.61 square miles is land and 1.07 square miles is water.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
- As of the 2010 census, there were 4,209 people, 1,352 households, and 1,137 families residing in the village.

- Barrington Hills is home to several well-known healthcare facilities. These include:
- Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital: This is a 176-bed acute care hospital with more than 700 physicians representing 50 medical specialties. It is part of Advocate Health Care, which is the largest health system in Illinois.
- JourneyCare: This is the largest nonprofit provider of palliative, and supportive care in Illinois. It serves nearly 13,000 adult and pediatric patients and their families each year.
