Bella Kocharyan

Bella Kocharyan (born January 31, 1954) is an Armenian public figure and the wife of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan. She served as the First Lady of Armenia from 1998 to 2008.

Bella Kocharyan was born in Stepanakert, the capital of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast in the Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic. She completed her secondary education in Stepanakert and later pursued higher education at the Yerevan State Medical University, where she graduated with a degree in pediatrics.

After completing her education, Bella Kocharyan worked as a pediatrician in Stepanakert. Her career in medicine was marked by her dedication to child healthcare and her efforts to improve medical services in the region.
