Ben Utecht is a former professional American football player who played as a tight end in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on March 30, 1981, in Hastings, Minnesota. Utecht played college football at the University of Minnesota before entering the NFL.

Ben Utecht grew up in Hastings, Minnesota, where he excelled in football at Hastings High School. He continued his football career at the University of Minnesota, where he played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers football team. Utecht's performance on the field caught the attention of NFL scouts.

In the 2004 NFL Draft, Ben Utecht signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent. He played for the Colts from 2004 to 2008, contributing to the team's success, including their victory in Super Bowl XLI. Utecht later joined the Cincinnati Bengals in 2008 and played for them until 2009.
