Bill Yosses
Bill Yosses is an American pastry chef who served as the White House Executive Pastry Chef from 2007 to 2014. He is known for his innovative approach to desserts and his commitment to healthy eating.

Bill Yosses was born in Toledo, Ohio. He developed an interest in baking at a young age and pursued his passion by studying at the New York City College of Technology. He further honed his skills at the International Culinary Center in New York City.

Yosses began his professional career working in various renowned restaurants in New York City, including Bouley Restaurant and Montrachet. His talent and dedication quickly earned him a reputation as a skilled pastry chef.
White House Executive Pastry Chef[edit | edit source]
In 2007, Yosses was appointed as the White House Executive Pastry Chef by First Lady Laura Bush. During his tenure, he worked under both the George W. Bush and Barack Obama administrations. Yosses was known for creating elaborate and visually stunning desserts for state dinners and other official events.
Yosses collaborated closely with First Lady Michelle Obama on her Let's Move! initiative, which aimed to promote healthy eating and combat childhood obesity. He focused on incorporating healthier ingredients into his desserts and reducing the use of sugar and fat.

After leaving the White House in 2014, Yosses continued to advocate for healthy eating. He co-founded a non-profit organization called Kitchen Garden Laboratory, which focuses on educating children about nutrition and cooking.
