Bolívar (full name: Bolívar Gomes da Silva) is a retired Brazilian footballer who played as a defender. He was born on January 16, 1980, in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. Bolívar is best known for his time with Botafogo, where he was a key player and captain.
